on the day of the race, could they please contact us at

order them and send them out.

Record numbers as Richard Turkington wins the SPAR Omagh Half Marathon.
A record turnout for the SPAR Omagh Half Marathon saw Richard
Turnkington (1.10.15) from Armagh AC take a close race from Pauric McKinney
(1.10.23) of Letterkenny. The two of them battled for the whole race with
Turnkington taking the title with a sprint finish. Gary Crossan (1.10.53)
finished a close thrid.
In the womens race Maria McCambridge (1.17.02) took the title in
style from the impressive over 50 veteran Lucy Brennan (1.22.20 ), with Karen
Alexander taking (1.23.09) a close third.
The 4 Mile Fun Run saw a home victory from Noel Collins (20.55).
The first women was Sara Moore (27.01).

Omagh Half Marathon + 4 Mile Fun Run & Walk
The SPAR Omagh Half Marathon and 4 Mile Fun Run will be run on the 21st March
2009. This year marks the 20th running of the Omagh Half Marathon and we would
like to welcome this years charity Marie Curie Cancer Care Northern Ireland.
They will recieve £1 of every half marathon entry.
New for this year all timings will be done using the ChampionChip timing. This works by you attaching a small chip to
your trainers, then when you cross the start line your chip timing will start and when you cross the finishing line it will stop.
This years see's the doubling of the Prize Fund to £4000's.

Important Information
- COMPETITORS - should arrive at Omagh Leisure Complex,where registration
will take place between 9.30am - 11.15am.
- ROUTE - A large route map will be on display at the complex,where
mileage markers, water and First Aid points will be clearly indicated at regular
intervals.
- RACE NUMBER & T_SHIRT - for all competitors to be collected
at registration on race day.
- RACE NUMBER - Must be pinned to the front of your running vest
and is non-transferable.
- TIMES - Times and places will be recorded for all finishers of
the Half marathon and 4 mile fun run.
- FACILITIES - Car Parking, changing and showering facilities available
at Omagh Leisure Complex.
- TEAMS - First 3 to count. Score on finishing place.
- PRIZE PRESENTATION - will take place in Omagh Leisure Complex when
all categories are completed.
- MASSAGE AND REFRESHMENTS - available after race.
